Why bus? easy, the bus sector is the largest mode of transportation in the Americas. Passenger volume is estimated at over 10Bn passengers per year, 13x that of air sector volume. Yet only 10% of this is sold online today. We believe it is just a matter of time for online bookings to represent 50%+ of all ticket sales.

About this role:

Were looking for a next-gen Jr. Developer who thinks AI-first, someone who codes without limits, leveraging the latest AI tools to move as fast as a senior full-stack dev. You should already be deep into AI-powered development, using tools like Cursor, Cursor, Windsurf, Lovable, Cline, Perplexity, Gemini, Ollama, Chat GPT LLMs, MCP servers, and whatever else pushes the limits of productivity.

Our team is building the Interurban App, a platform for booking interurban travel tickets seamlessly. Youll use AI as your core tool to build, optimize, and ship features across the backend (Ruby on Rails, APIs) and frontend (React, TypeScript, Hotwire).

What you'll do:

• • AI-first development Leverage LLMs, AI-assisted code generation, and automation to build and deploy features faster than traditional coding workflows.
  • **Break limits with AI**Use some or most of the latest AI dev tools (Cursor, Windsurf, Lovable, Cline, Perplexity, Gemini, Ollama, v0, Copilot, Cursor, etc.) to write, refactor, debug, and optimize code effortlessly.
  • Full-stack feature development AI will help you contribute to both the backend (Rails APIs) and frontend (React + TypeScript + Hotwire).
  • Automate workflows Enhance CI/CD, automate testing, and integrate AI-driven debugging to keep everything running smoothly.
  • Collaborate and iterate fast Work with designers, engineers, and AI to improve the platform, refine UX, and ship updates at high velocity.
  • Design, implement, and document new features for our back-end (Interurban API) and our front-end (web admin platform) in Ruby On Rails.
  • Work with Git and/or Github and Pull Requests.
  • Integrate and maintain third-party APIs for analytics, authentication, payment processing, and other services.
  • Maintain CI workflows and automations for running tests and building releases.

Primary (AI-First):

  • AI-powered development You use AI for almost everything: writing, debugging, testing, optimizing, deploying.
  • AI-enhanced collaboration You know how to work with AI in real-time, both for code and decision-making.

Secondary (Traditional Coding AI-Assisted):

• • JavaScript & TypeScript (React, Hotwire, or equivalent AI-generated frameworks).
  • Ruby on Rails, NextJS (or another backend framework you can pick it up via AI if needed).
  • Git & GitHub (AI-powered workflows preferred).
  • Databases (PostgreSQL or equivalent AI-optimized DB solutions).

How to apply:

• Take-home project we invite you to complete a small technical project. Expect to spend about half a day on this.
• In-depth interview after the take-home project, we do a longer interview where well ask you questions about the project and your experience in previous roles.
• Culture fit interview during this one hour interview, well talk about your experience and expectations, no coding required.
• HR call the final step is a short call where well ask you some questions to get to know you better, and answer any questions you have about the role.
